April + Sakou | Wedding Film Trailer | ABC 7 - Windy City Live "Dream Wedding" winners

We had such an awesome opportunity to work with ABC7's Windy City Live team along with so many great vendors who helped and sponsored April and Sakou's wedding.
The shooting started early in the morning with preparation at Mario Tricoci in downtown. Then we moved onto ABC studio for the ceremony that was on LIVE TV!!! Talking about lifetime experience! We had such a great reception at Pennsula hotel afterwards.
April and Sakou really is a great couple to work with. They are very kind and appreciative people around them. It was truly great experience for me and Charlie, and we hope nothing but the best for them. Congratulations!!
Here is the their wedding film trailer! Enjoy!

Amy + Brandon | Wedding Film Trailer by Orange Wedding Films

We had so much fun at Amy and Brandon's wedding back in February.
One of our brides from 2011 introduced Amy to us, and we were very honored to be part of her big day!
It was great working with awesome crew from Joshua Albanese Photography.
Toast and Jam did such a great job keeping the dance floor packed (and got me on the dance floor for GangNam Style!)
Palmer House is one of our favorite locations to capture beautiful weddings.
Hope you all enjoy the trailer, and congratulations to Amy and Brandon!

Stacey + Joseph | Wedding Film Trailer by Orange Wedding Films

A few months ago, we were very fortunate to capture our very first wedding of the year 2013 for Stacey and Joe.
With a beautiful sunrise, we started our morning with Polish traditional blessing at Stacey's house, and onto the Holy Trinity in Chicago to have their wedding ceremony. The party continued on at Venutis.
We really appreciate Stacey and Joe for the opportunity to be part of such a memorable wedding!
Wishing them the best!

Kelly + Matthew | 10.27.2012 | Wedding Film Trailer

What a finish for amazing 2012 wedding season!
Kelly and Matt was the perfect to wrap up our season. They tied the knot, and celebrated their union on 10.27.2012 (the day before my birthday!).
There were so many cute little details all over the place throughout the day, but most of all, it was the love between them that we had great time capturing.
It was great working with Yaneck and Sasha from Wasio Photography, and it was very first time learning about "sexy voice activated light stand" which worked flawlessly till end of the night :-)
Congratulations, Kelly and Matt! Can't wait to share more with you guys!
Enjoy, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Priya + Jaimin | Multiple Day Cultural Wedding Film Trailer by Orange Wedding Films

We captured a beautiful Indian wedding in the beginning of September.
Jaimin had some of his celebration in California, then flew to Chicago having rest of wedding ceremony and reception with Priya.
Priya looked absolutely beautiful in every dress she is in.
Jaimin's friends put together the funniest presentation "Jaimin is not impressed" during the reception, which I am sure impressed everyone during the wedding.
From emotional moments to gorgeous detail at each event, we are truly blessed to be part of all of them.
Congratulations, Jaimin and Priya!
Enjoy the trailer.

PS. As always, it was a lot of fun working with Leo from Fragola Productions.

Karen + Chris | 8.18.2012 | Unplugged Wedding | Coming Soon by Orange

Shooting at the New Leaf had been one of my wedding venue checklists. I finally put check mark on it, and couldn't be happier. Add beautiful bride and handsome groom. Add fun bridal party. One more thing... Wait for it... UNPLUGGED WEDDING!!!
Yes, another item from wish list has been checked off. We need to see more of these.
When I met them for the first time to go over the details before the wedding, I felt like I'd known them for more than ten years. They are such a kind, generous, and caring couple, and we could not have asked anything more as filmmakers.
On top of all those gifts we had, add fun, energetic, talented photographer. Jess and our crew had so much fun working together. Check out her awesome work at her website here.
I am very proud of every single trailers that we produce for our couples, and one thing I always try is to make audience feel the day, a very unique and special day of two people, two families coming together, through our lens. This one is definitely unique, and I had so much fun putting it together.
Hope you all enjoy it, and once again, congratulations to Karen and Chris.

Shedd Aquarium with my son, Sean.

I usually don't post my personal stuff on our blog, but this one, I just had to share with you all.
My son, Sean is now 6 years old, attending 1st grade. Time sure flies fast...
He has been interested in one particular field all the time. Two years ago, it was plantes, especially solar system. Last year was animals in the North/South Pole (his favorite, Beluga Whales, and Killer Whales among others). This year, he picked up extreme interest in jelly fish. He also noticed signs on the street and buses while driving downtown, and asked me where those jelly fish was. Shedd Aquarium was having special exhibition!!! I promised him that we'd go, but with moving our house, editing, and shooting, it was very hard to make time for the trip. On 3rd day of heavy lifting and moving around at our new house, I just decided to get out, and recharge. And what else could be better than taking my son to Jelly exhibition?!?!
As the description on the video said, I didn't really expect anything to capture that day. Maybe some still photos of Sean, and Jelly fish. Then as soon as I saw unique movements that jelly fish was making, I suggested Sean that video maybe better to capture to jelly fish instead of still photo. He strongly agreed, and started commending take video of this jelly fish, that jelly fish, and so on.
I truly had a blast spending all day with him. It's been too long since I did that.
It's great to take a break once in a while, I guess.
Enjoy!

*NOTE from the video "I took Sean to Shedd Aquarium today.
He has been into Jelly fish lately, reading tons of books, and studying each kind.
Beluga Whale has been one of his favorites for a long time, but in addition to that, Jelly fish has been his interest lately.
With moving, and editing (and shooting), it was almost impossible to make a trip, but since I was afraid the special exhibition was gonna be over, I decided to keep the promise with my son, and took him there.
When I took my 7D and Zeiss 50mm, I thought I was gonna snap some still images of him, and jelly fish.
But more I thought about it, the movement of jelly fish felt more appropriate to capture its Motion by video than still images.
So I ended up capturing about 30 mins footage, then cut down to 4-5 minutest highlight/SDE, LOL!
I didn't have any rig. Just the strap, and camera. That was it.
It was great feeling to see my son being amazed by each jelly fish, and looks like he had fun time.
It's awesome to be a father to such a wonderful child.
JJ"

Jeannie + Mike | 7.14.2012 | Wedding Film Trailer by Orange Wedding Films

Orange Wedding Films crew is truly blessed to have couples like Mike and Jeannie.
We had a great time working with one and only Kenny Kim.
It was non-stop day of laughter and smiles. All of their friends and families sure knows how to have a good time!
Jeannie was bridesmaid at one of very first wedding we shot as "Orange", and it meant a lot to capture this wedding for me.
Congratulations to Jeannie and Mike! Enjoy the trailer.
